Last week we went to see Celtic Woman: A New Journey. An excellent evening - part Christmas present (late); part anniversary celebration (late); and just for us (current). Barbara and I came away fully convinced that it was one of the best performances we've seen in years. While the music was familiar, in the sense that we have the DVDs already, there's nothing like a live performance and the chance to see the performers in person. If you get the chance - go and enjoy.
Later in the week, opportunity to see Urinetown performed by the Clemson Players (the student company). A well done musical coming from Broadway. I was skeptical, but it was an assignment for Barbara's English Literature class so I figured it couldn't be all bad. Do not ever underestimate the talent of student theater groups. This production was excellent all around and thoroughly enjoyable.
So it was a week of live performances - one of my favorite things to do.
